An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Associate Director of Strategy and Planning, for up to 6 months in the first instance.
The postholder will be responsible for developing strategic programmes in line with national objectives and stakeholder expectations, while embedding a new business planning process across the organisation. Candidates must have experience in leading the development of strategic plans at this level within an NHS organisation.
The role will be inside IR35 and will be remunerated under the NHSI Agency Caps.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Leadership and responsibility for developing strategic programmes, key enabling strategies and corporate strategy, ensuring alignment between internal plans and the wider organisation;
- Develop and embed a business planning process that leads to deliverable operational plans within the organisation;
- Lead and champion designated teams to support the delivery of strategic programmes;
- Support the delivery of a performance development plan which serves the organisation’s short-term and long-term needs;
- Work in partnership with other functions to develop innovative approaches to service delivery or improvements in response to national initiatives and policies.
- Post graduate qualification or equivalent level of experience;
- Project Management qualification i.e. PRINCE 2;
- Significant experience of developing and implementing strategic plans at this level within an NHS organisation;
- Experience of staff management.
