An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Programme Manager, for up to 6 months in the first instance.

The postholder will be responsible for managing the implementation of the strategic programme, in addition to supporting the development of new planning processes. Candidates must have experience in programme management, developing systems and delivering project outcomes within an NHS organisation.

The role will be inside IR35 and will be remunerated under the NHSI Agency Caps at Band 8a/8b.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead, manage and provide clear direction for the implementation of project deliverables to budget, time and quality;
  • Create implementation plans and measurable outcomes, including the development of internal reporting cycles and requirements;
  • Support the development of a process for annual strategic planning and review, including submission to regulators;
  • Embed implementation planning processes in line with internal and external stakeholder requirements;
  • Analyse and interpret local and national policies such as those relating to service improvement and transformation, ensuring all implications for the delivery of policies are identified.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Post graduate qualification or equivalent level of experience;
  • Project Management qualification i.e. PRINCE 2;
  • Significant experience of implementing strategic projects and programmes at this level within an NHS organisation.
