This is a Fixed Term Part Time appointment at approximately 40 hours per fortnight for 5 years (specific arrangements will be negotiated with the successful applicant).

Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person to take on the prestigious position of Chief Pathologist. You will provide expert advice and support to the Chief

Executive and PathWest Executive members through analysis of emerging trends and issues locally, nationally and globally. You will influence service design and development and provide clinical governance across all pathology disciplines. A major feature of your role will be research, leading and supervising innovative projects.

As the State’s leading referral pathology laboratory, it is dedicated to improving the health of Western Australians by providing trusted pathology services that are patient-focused, high quality and supported by excellence in teaching and research.

Employing over 2,000 people across Western Australia, PathWest’s workforce consists of professionals from a variety of occupations including pathologists, registrars, medical scientists,technical, laboratory and support staff providing an extensive range of pathology and support services.
