Project Manager/ Systems Accountant - Financial Accounting Systems
6-month Fixed Term Contract
Band 8 - £45,753 - £51,668
Bristol-based

Working for one of the largest Healthcare Trusts in the South West a Project Manager is needed with experience in Financial Accounting Systems and processes to review the current system and support the procurement of a new one.

The current contract held by the Trust for Finance and Accounting is due to expire in March 2022.

The Financial System Review Project aims to review and implement a system to succeed the current contract. We require a highly motivated and delivery focused individual to join their Finance Team and take responsibility for this pivotal project.

The Project Manager/ Systems Accountant will be responsible for the day to day management of the project to review options for a Finance system and processes.

They will be responsible for overseeing Business Analyst support and wider stakeholder engagement, project planning, resourcing, governance, delivery, testing, communication, and rollout of key trust driven changes.

Training and qualifications

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (CCAB or equivalent).
  • Project/programme management qualification or relevant experience.

Knowledge, skills, and experience

  • Significant experience in systems accounting, within a healthcare setting would be an advantage
  • Project management experience in a public sector (preferably health or social care) setting, including use of project management tools and techniques to plan and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Experience of managing complex change
  • Excellent understanding of project governance
  • Experience of collaborating across multiple organisations and stakeholders, and working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of financial control and reporting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of healthcare systems and financial systems
  • An awareness of current NHS and care policy and direction of travel
  • Experience in developing Treasury Green Book compliant Business Cases.
