We are a responsive and innovative Foundation Trust that places our values of Caring, Safe and Excellent at the heart of everything we do. We take great pride in our staff and believe that investing in you is key to us achieving our vision of outstanding care delivered by outstanding people.

We work with a wide range of partner organisations to deliver care and support to people in their own homes and from a number of hospitals and community bases. We focus on delivering care as close to home as possible.

The Deputy Director of Finance is key to supporting Oxford Health to realise its ambitions. As a member of the trust’s senior management team, it is expected that strong technical and interpersonal skills and experience will underpin Oxford Health’s ongoing strong financial performance and support the development of the core health services and corporate functions.

You’ll have the day-to-day responsibility for managing, leading and developing the finance and procurement functions to ensure a high-quality service is always provided to the trust. You’ll also be responsible for driving continued improvement across the finance and procurement functions, ensure that all key systems are operating effectively and that appropriate procedures, controls and monitoring arrangements are in place to ensure the highest standards of compliance and accuracy. Ensure all internal and external reporting timescales are achieved.

The key challenges:

  • Motivating and developing the Finance and Procurement teams to always deliver the highest levels of professionalism and added values
  • Facilitating a team ethos that generates innovative and improved ways of working
  • Actively engaging and participating in the creation and development of the effective operation of the BOB Integrated Care System, including finances and lead-provider commissioning practices

You’ll be a team player with extensive senior management experience who is able to lead and support as required and who puts integrity and principles as the foundation of decisions. Capable of working at the strategic level while maintaining a grasp of the detail, you will display an energy and passion for ensuring quality and value for money yet creating a environment where staff enjoy their work. You’ll be inclusive and actively promote diversity and equality.

As one of the largest and most ambitious trusts of our type we are looking to attract high calibre candidates to join our excellent team.
