Job Details

We have a new Fixed Term Contract opportunity looking for an experienced BI Analyst based in Essex to work for a large NHS organisation.


Job Purpose:

  • Take an innovative lead and responsibility for the management of information and data systems. Lead on all high-level BI, spend profiling, supply chain, contract forecasting within the wider procurement team.
  • Spearhead all analysis across the purchasing process from targeting suppliers to ensuring stock optimisation, as well as working in partnership with the systems managers and managing stock control systems.
  • Lead the team to co - ordinate the development, operation and maintenance of effective management systems.
  • Ensure that a seamless information system supports easy access to data in support of key objectives and targets in influencing stakeholders.
  • Support all in the use of and interpretation of data and information systems so that the procurement team can retrieve and access robust reliable data that underpins purchasing decisions.
  • To build positive professional relationships, implement change and improvements to support the team to deliver their annual saving targets and raise their profile with clients.
  • Take the lead for analysis of spend data, produce accurate KPIs and monitor the performance of the procurement department against SLAs with their clients. Build professional relationships with stakeholders and support managers to implement change to improve the service.
 
Key Outcomes:

  • Optimise the Procurement functions outputs to support the success and goals of the trust.
  • Deliver against the Trust’s Procurement strategy to ensure that the procurement function is modernised, transformed and aligned with public sector standards.
  • Raise functional maturity of the procurement organisation in the Trust from Level 1 to Level 3 as defined by NHS Standards of Procurement.
  • Operate within a centre of excellence to the trust’s business units and stakeholders with the aim to balance spend, contract and income alignment and commercial opportunities.

The role may on occasion require the ideal candidate to travel to different sites within the region.
