Surgical Hub Project Manager

In response to the COVID pandemic there is a focus across the country on supporting the recovery of elective surgical activity through the creation of specialty specific surgical hubs. These are aimed at delivering specified high volume low acuity (HVLA) procedures within Integrated Care System (ICS) footprints.

This means working with partners within the region to optimise the delivery and utilisation of local surgical capacity and leading on delivering hubs for General Surgery and Gynaecology procedures.

Given the current pressure on senior operational managers, the Trust requires dedicated support to lead this work for an initial 3 month period liaising accordingly with internal and external stakeholders.

The post will report to the Divisional Director but will also need to effectively manage relationships with the Chief Operating Officer and the Director of Strategy.

• Rapidly form effective working relationships with clinicians, operational managers and senior Executives both inside and outside an organisation
• Accurately manipulate and interrogate complex data-sets and draw clear conclusions

• Build consensus amongst competing and contradictory views;
• Build enthusiasm for a specific vision or plan
