Job Details

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS Organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Senior Administrator, for a 3 month period in the first instance.

The postholder will work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative service to the department. Candidates must have previous experience of working as a Senior Administrator within the NHS.

The role will be remunerated at Band 4 under AfC/NHSI Agency Caps.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative service to the Senior Management team;
  • Undertake a range of high-level administrative tasks that include, preparation of agendas and papers, meeting preparation, minute-taking, co-ordination and liaison activities;
  • Act as the main point of contact for enquiries to the department;
  • Respond to all queries, correspondence, including sensitive information and telephone calls received in a timely and professional manner;
  • Be aware of information and produce documentation for external body verification and visits;
  • Recognise the importance of confidentiality and sensitivity of issues and be able to act using the utmost discretion;
  • Provision of support for in-house events and programmes.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Significant experience of working as a Senior Administrator within the NHS;
  • Experience of taking minutes;
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to deal with competing demands and high workloads;
  • Advanced software skills in the range of MS products and the ability to learn other packages, as required;
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality.
