Job Details

A NHS Trust in the East of England is seeking to appoint an Interim Head of OD. The post holder will be responsible for providing professional expertise for Organisational Development across the Trust.

Main responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of the OD & Leadership elements of the Workforce Strategy, developing and delivering projects, initiatives and services to achieve the trusts goals;
  • Supporting the identification and sharing of best practice in employee engagement, working with key staff at all levels to develop and implement the employee engagement strategy to improve staff engagement and motivation;
  • Providing expert advice, guidance and training to HR/OD colleagues, directors, managers and staff to ensure that OD solutions are embedded and sustained;
  • Leading on leadership learning and development in OD related areas as required;
  • To influence and drive business thinking and together with HRBPs and senior managers to develop HR/OD approaches that support operational objectives, organisational design and resource plans;
  • To act as the expert in organisational development, design, leadership and talent, able to describe and support the implementation of best practice, creating interventions which encourage and enhance individual, team and organisational performance and effective working relationships between teams across the organisation promoting the Trust’s values;
  • Providing expert guidance and advice to Directorate leads / managers and teams to identify their OD priorities and plans to support our excellent patient services and support delivery of the Trust’s corporate objectives;
  • To develop and implement quality OD tools and solutions so effective, consistent business practice can be adopted and continuously improved upon.
Key Skills/Experience:
  • Professional qualification in OD, or equivalent level of experience, skills and knowledge
  • Trained in psychometric analysis
  • Accredited Coach
  • CIPD Qualification/membership
