111 Medical Director

The newly formed Totally Urgent Care Division, is a leading provider of national urgent care and out of hospital services following the integration of Vocare and Greenbrook. We are looking for a 111 Medical Director who will provide strong Medical Leadership for the Totally Urgent Care Division’s Integrated Urgent Care Services (IUC). This includes NHS 111 and Clinical Assessment Services (CAS).

The postholder will provide clinical oversight and leadership of the of the NHS 111 Service within the Urgent Care Division (UCD). You will work together with the 111 Service Director and 111 Clinical Director; taking responsibility for the delivery of safe and effective 111 and CAS services and developing and delivering a shared vision for clinical excellence. The ideal candidate will be a champion for high standards of clinical governance and processes which drive continuous improvements in care.

The division delivers highly successful services within 111, Clinical Assessment Services (CAS), GP Out of Hours (GPOOH) and Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC) across a national footprint. You would join our growing team at a truly exciting time with expanding services and a new fit for purpose structure. The successful applicant will demonstrate a desire to improve outcomes and patient experience within services and an ability to engage with all partners within the health economy. The role requires an ability to work within highly regulated environments, delivering against multiple performance targets, whilst maintaining the support and engagement of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).

The successful candidate will be an established GP with considerable experience of primary care, out of hours or urgent care work, possess current and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and be listed on the performers list in England.
