An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Project Officer, for a 3 month period in the first instance.

The postholder will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support on specified projects and programmes of work, while acting as the first point of contact for project enquiries. Candidates must have previous experience of working as a Project Officer within the NHS.

The role will be remunerated at Band 4 under AfC/NHSI Agency Caps.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Provide efficient and comprehensive administrative support on specified projects and programmes of work;
  • Act as the first point of contact for project enquiries;
  • Produce project documentation and ensure the maintenance of project files, action logs and risk and issue registers;
  • Undertake a range of high-level administrative tasks that include the provision of support and preparation for meetings and events, co-ordination and liaison activities;
  • Take minutes of project meetings;
  • Respond to all queries and correspondence received in a timely and professional manner;
  • Recognise the importance of confidentiality and sensitivity of issues and be able to act using the utmost discretion.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • GNVQ/Diploma Level qualification in IT related area or equivalent experience;
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role within the NHS;
  • Experience of taking minutes;
  • Knowledge of Project Management and Information Governance;
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to deal with competing demands and high workloads;
  • Advanced software skills in the range of MS products and the ability to learn other packages, as required;
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.
