Job Details
This is a band 8c role, working inside IR35 on an hourly rate of: £49.54.
Lead on the development of an organisation wide approach to safety, translating and implementing the changes within the National Patient Safety Strategy (NPSS), working with corporate & divisional teams and patient groups accordingly.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the formulation of the organisation’s corporate strategies for Clinical Governance, inclusive of safety, risk and clinical effectiveness on behalf of the Board;
- Support the development and delivery of a revised model of clinical governance at corporate & divisional levels;
- Ensuring Clinical Divisions are enabled to deliver the clinical governance agenda and associated improvement activity;
- Continuing a programme of reform and standardisation of Clinical Governance, streamlining processes and removing nonvalue added activities;
- Create an environment where learning drawn from complaints, the quality hub and serious incidents collectively, drive learning and improvement across the organisation;
- Ensure the ongoing delivery of the Risk Management Strategy, working with the Head of Patient Safety and Clinical Risk Manager;
- Oversight of the Risk management strategy and key Clinical Governance objectives, working with the head of Patient safety on their delivery;
- Co-ordinate the work required to achieve compliance for Care Quality Commission standards relating to the Well Led and Safety Domains;
- Provide direct support to the Divisional Management Team, to develop and implement effective clinical governance processes, working with the Clinical Governance Leads and Teams;
- Ensure the digital changes to NRLS and the introduction of the new Patient Safety Incident Response Framework is implemented effectively.
- A clinical registration is desirable;
- Must have expensive management experience within the NHS for Risk, Quality and Safety;
- Provide dynamic, senior leadership, visibility and expert support to the patient safety agenda across the organisation, leading on and embedding a patient safety culture;
- Excellent communication skills required, verbally and written.
