Assignment Location: Home-based

This southern-based England CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) is urgently looking to onboard a home-based Designate Safeguarding Adults interim for three months due to an increase in workload.

Due to a lack of capacity in the team, and someone being on long term sick, they are looking for some interim support for 3 months.

The Designate Professional role for Safeguarding Adults will from a strategic perspective be responsible for implementing the requirements of the Care Act, managing Section 42's. You will be the clinical expert and strategic leader for Adult Safeguarding in your designated locality. In addition, you will support the newly appointed 8a's manage their respective roles including -

• SARS
• DHRS
• SI
• 42
• Channel

The client is looking for an interim professional who is a qualified professional either a nurse or social worker, and importantly has a broad range of experience in safeguarding adults. You will have a proven track record of managing the above and be confident in managing your own portfolio of work.

Essential skills & experience:

• Qualified professional - either a nurse or social worker
• Previous experience of working in CCG ideally
• Knowledge and experience of involvement in Safeguarding adult reviews, domestic homicide reviews, serious incident reviews
• The legislation including the Mental Capacity Act (and dols), Health and Social Care Act
• Knowledge of independent providers and safeguarding would be helpful
