Four Eyes Insight (FEI) are an innovative professional services company with a wealth of experience providing clinical productivity software and delivering transformation programmes to the NHS. Our mission is to quantify clinical productivity opportunities and translate these into a sustainable reality, building effective change that lasts. Since its inception in 2013, Four Eyes Insight has worked with over 80 NHS Trusts across England. In 2017 we were commissioned by the NHS to lead the National Theatre Productivity Programme for 130 Trusts.

We specialise in improving productivity and efficiency in operating theatres, across outpatient clinics and throughout patient pathways including diagnostic procedures such as Cath labs, endoscopy and radiology. We also build bespoke patient pathway level demand and capacity business plan models to redesign elective care services for superior operating performance.

Such experience enables us to guide clients every step of the way through the implementation process, working alongside them as the new processes are embedded, always on hand to explain and adapt where needed.


Working with the business analysts and consulting teams to manage the end to end delivery process for bespoke reporting and analysis within a programme or as a standalone project. To include:

  • Working closely with the Delivery Director/Managing Consultant to understand client requirements/constraints. Agree approach, scope of work and budget
  • Own contact with client-side BI team and oversee data transfer process, including advising on complete end to end architecture of data transfer
  • Support the business analysts with data validation, cleansing and process data using T-SQL (Other Microsoft technologies)
  • Produce diagnostic and regular dashboards across multiple disciplines and workstreams e.g. theatres, endoscopy
  • Attend Client meetings with high-level representatives to communicate findings of the analysis and explain Four Eyes Insight methodology

Work alongside and support the business analysts to develop and deliver complex products that can be deployed into any Client, such as bespoke activity modelling and operational tools:

  • Manage the delivery of the product from start to finish, including regular meetings with consulting team and key stakeholders to report on key milestones
  • Facilitate end to end solutions architecture
  • Develop new SQL scripts and analytical reports, processing the data and illustrating results to match the requirements of the analysis
  • Ensure that robust quality assurance processes are in place before products are shared with the consulting teams
  • Gain formal final sign-off of the analysis and release across FEI

Develop new analytical tools and data processing scripts:

  • Offer new innovative and creative products and ideas to keep current products relevant and up to date
  • Work with the Software Director and senior members of the Consulting teams to develop and build new analytical and operational tools for the FEI consulting teams and FEI clients
  • Scope the new tool and agree milestones and deadlines
  • Using analytical software and SQL Management Studio, progress the design and functionality whilst ensuring the focus of the tool is meeting the expectations of the client
  • Be able to get final sign-off of the tool and release to the client
  • Advise on new technologies and improvements on the current processes



  • Responsible for negotiating with senior clients (external and internal), while maintaining professional standards
  • Responsible for acting as the central client interface in the scoping of data requirements, identification of data sources and cleansing and processing of the data
  • Answer client queries with due sensitivity to protecting FEI’s intellectual property and commercial expertise
  • Attend Client meetings with high-level representatives to communicate findings of the analysis and explain Four Eyes Insight methodology

Internal - Consulting team:

  • Assist the business analyst when liaising with FEI consulting team to scope client requirements and delivery deadlines
  • Working with business analyst team on validating findings of analysis and incorporating any change requirements
  • Support the business analysts to robustly feedback findings of regular analysis and alert FEI consultant teams of any irregularities in the data or issues with the production of analysis
  • Organise the delivery of agreed milestones and project updates when leading on stand-alone projects
  • Able to develop and deliver relevant internal training


  • Lead on inter-departmental BI staff training on the production and interpretation of BI products
  • Build an effective network within FEI to support their work and personal development
  • Ability to lead training workshops on FEI Dashboards and Excel

Skills & Experience 

Analysis & Problem Solving

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide insight to consulting teams and clients
  • Excellent data processing skills, including an understanding of the limitations and appropriate use of data
  • Ability to undertake complex analysis with little guidance and scope, developing key findings and delivering bespoke analytics


  • An advanced understanding of trust operational systems and data sources
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of Acute healthcare environments
  • Advanced levels of skill and knowledge in Microsoft Excel
  • Full Microsoft Stack experience SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
  • Advanced skill level of SQL Studio Management and SQL scripting
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience and knowledge of other Business Intelligence software
