We have a new opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner in a Yorkshire NHS Trust to lead on strategic and operational HR activity.
Main responsibilities:

- To develop workforce strategies based on service needs and key priorities, and key workforce issues and profiles, which support the delivery of the Trust People Strategy and annual plans and the national People Plan;
- Working as Business Partner, contribute to the annual business planning process, identifying workforce priorities that support and enable objectives;
- Being a proactive ‘change agent’ – working alongside managers to bring about changes to services and people approaches ensuring that timely and appropriate employee consultation is initiated in line with policies, procedures and legislation;
- To act as the HR lead for all people related change projects within the designated area including; structure, role and service changes, redundancies, TUPE transfers and any other change initiatives impacting on staff;
- Develop a partnering approach to supporting the organisation, providing expert proactive and supportive advice to managers on strategic, tactical and operational HR issues, including restructuring, Medical & Dental and Agenda for Change terms and conditions of service, legislation, sickness absence, disciplinary, grievances, recruitment etc;
- Assist managers in the interpretation of policy and HR solutions to provide a quality patient led service;
- To work collaboratively with all members of the HR Directorate, promoting a mutually supportive and knowledge sharing environment;
- To lead on and advise managers about the design of job roles, structure and the AfC job evaluation process, taking an active part in the job evaluation process;
- To influence the development of departmental and management structures and ensure that decisions on the banding of posts are made in line with Trust protocols and National Agenda for Change guidance.
- Experience of HR Business Partnering in the NHS
- In-depth experience of Human Resources Management
- Significant senior HR management experience in an advisory type role in a complex organisation
- Specialist knowledge of employment legislation, relevant policies and procedures including national ‘best practice’
