Director of Governance
I have a great opportunity for an experienced Clinical Governance interim to work with a leading NHS Trust in the Midlands: providing support and oversight of their Governance function for 6 months.
The trust provide acute, community and specialist services and have a well performing clinical governance team. The aim of this band 8D/9 role is to provide senior leadership to prepare for the implementation of the NHS Pratient Safety Strategy whilst acting as a fresh pair of eyes to ensure that they have a collaborative, robust and efficient clinical governance team and function going forward; with processes that are aligned to other functions such as audit and corporate governance. We're looking for someone supportive who can take them from good to great!
This will be done by supporting the development of a robust and efficient risk management structure and processes, meetings and Board reporting. Additionally this role will look at the capacity and capability of the team and support their ongoing development and ensuring that they have a forward plan. You will be working collaboratively with the Chief Nurse, Medical Director and Company Secretary.
We're consequently seeking applications from interims who have demonstrable expertise within Clinical Governance, audit and risk management within an NHS Acute or Community provider who also possess a supportive and collaborative work style. Experience of working at Board level and recent experience of reviewing and improving processes across clinical governance would be advantageous.
Inside IR35 and with a potential immediate start, this could be a 4 to 5 day per week role which will require at least 1 day per week onsite initially, potentially increasing to 2-3 days as lockdown eases.
