Main Responsibilities:
- An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Clinician to work with the Head of Service in development of a nurse – led support service;
- The Gender Dysphoria National Referral Support Service supports adults on the GD surgical pathway;
- The clinical team will support patients who have been referred for specialist surgery and provide nurse led consultations with patients to support their choice of surgical provider;
- Experience of gender dysphoria would be an advantage but is not a requirement. However you should have experience in nursing in a surgical discipline;
- You will be responsible for a small group of clinical Nurse Advisors. You will lead in supporting the development of a training and programme for the clinical team and provide clinical leadership;
- Experience of change management or working to develop new services is essential and you should have good clinical skills and knowledge;
- An ability to work with key stakeholders and develop operating procedures and processes are key components in the delivery of this role.
- Previous experience of leading clinical teams and highly motivated to do so;
- Be accustomed to a high degree of autonomy on a day to day basis;
- Have excellent verbal and written skills;
- Have a strong value set around quality of patient experience;
