WE ARE KIND, WE ARE RESPECTFUL, WE ARE ALWAYS LEARNING, WE ARE A TEAM

Lancashire and South Cumbria is the major health and wellbeing provider for a population of 1.7 million people across Lancashire. A provider and commissioner of mental health, community and learning disability services we also provide community services and we work with a range of partners across a complex health and care system.  We are the only healthcare provider who operates across the whole of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System and we employ over 6000 members of staff operating in more than 400 sites with an annual budget of over £350 million.  Our Chief Executive, Caroline Donovan joined us in 2019 and over the last two years has embarked on an improvement journey to meet some of the significant challenges faced by the Trust. This fresh approach can be seen through strategic initiatives such as partnering with Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust and strengthening partnerships and integration, through moving to an Integrated Care Provider Structure to ensure that corporate objectives are achieved. We are looking to appoint a Chief Finance Officer following our incumbent Chief Finance Officer moving on to take on a role across the Lancashire and South Cumbria Health Care system. You will join a driven high performing Executive Team who have set themselves on the same transformation journey as the Chief Executive, as such we are  looking for an individual who will relish these demanding but exciting challenges. As the Chief Finance Officer, you will provide strategic advice to our Chief Executive and the Board of Directors on all aspects of financial management, commercial strategy, procurement and contracting. You will also play an active role in the determination and implementation of the corporate strategy, ensuring patient-centricity, quality of care, good governance and the growth of revenues and savings. Strong leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills will be essential, and you will bring the integrity and gravitas to influence and engage our stakeholders both in the Trust and externally. Commercially astute and adaptable, you will bring your expertise and knowledge to the Board and will inspire your teams to continue to achieve all they can.
