As Antimicrobial Resistant policy lead, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Medical Directorate, and support the delivery of NHS England’s objectives by providing expertise and professional leadership both to and from the scientific and diagnostic community regarding AMR.

The post holder will provide professional and policy expertise in the development and operational management of the delivery of effective strategies and management processes, ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation. Specifically, they will support the implementation of the Antimicrobial Resistance strategy, providing leadership and policy foresight to underpin the strategy and its implementation to inform the transformation model.

Working in collaboration, the post holder will adopt an integrated approach with colleagues across the system, influence and advice to improve quality and outcomes for patients and the embedding of innovation into healthcare.
