Our client is looking for senior commissioning professional, this person will hold experience in performance management of provider organisations across Planned/Unplanned care. The role will also be working on the ICP development in the locality. 

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that commissioned services meet the needs of our population and are delivering the standards, quality and outcomes expected;
  • Effectively monitor outcomes across Planned/Unplanned Care, developing pathways when required;
  • Ensuring that patients, carers, and service users are engaged and involved in the development of commissioning plans in accordance with the organisation’s Engagement and Involvement Policy;
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on Planned/Unplanned Care commissioning to the Board, to inform strategic planning, commissioning, clinical quality and safety standards and performance management decisions relating to commissioned services;
  • Ensure that commissioning intentions and service redesign initiatives are realised through matrix working with internal stakeholders including finance, business intelligence, quality and performance and contracts team;
  • Prepare key documents and presentations on behalf of the leadership team, ensuring highly complex information is communicated to the public and other stakeholders in a clear and straightforward way;
  • Ensure sound financial management of delegated budgets of the organisation and the effective use of resources within these budgets at all times.
A successful candidate will have:
  • Extensive understanding of Planned/Unplanned pathways, this can either be within a Provider or Commissioning NHS organisation;
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills, with the ability to process complex information and present targeted messages to different audiences;
  • Ability to work sensitively to maintain high levels of diplomacy and confidentiality;
  • Thorough understanding of current commissioning intentions in relation to the development of Integrated Care Partnerships (ICPs).
