Job Details

A large NHS organisation are looking for a senior nursing professional, who holds extensive experience operationally across Women’s and Childrens/Family Health Services. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Key member of the senior leadership team reporting to the Executive Team;
  • Lead the Division in providing high-level operational and strategic business planning and leadership to ensure high quality patient care and achieves its performance objectives;
  • Ensuring high quality patient care, patient safety, clinical quality and governance, the delivery of agreed performance and financial objectives, and ensuring that the Division operates with the needs of patients as its highest priority;
  • Take a lead role in supporting compliance with key quality assurance systems, particularly national and regional service standards;
  • Provide strategic nursing leadership and professional advice within the Division;
  • Responsible for the development and provision of transformational leadership across all clinical services to ensure safe, high quality, cost effective service for patients, families and carers;
  • Professional lead for Nursing practice within the Division;
  • Ensure regular contact and visible presence with all clinical areas to maintain a direct understanding of clinical priorities and patient/staff concerns and that formal communication channels are established within and between all areas;
  • Provide expert professional advice on a range of highly complex care issues
  • within the division: including statutory and regulatory requirements, providing assurance and leading on their delivery;

A successful candidate will have:
  • Current Registration to NMC, with demonstrable experience within Women’s, Childrens, Family Health setting;
  • Must have managerial experience within a healthcare setting, specifically Women’s, Childrens or Family Health.
