Locala is a not-for-profit social enterprise which provides a variety of NHS community healthcare services to people in Kirklees, Calderdale and Bradford, ranging from health visitors to physiotherapy, and sexual health to district nursing, as well as dental care, school nurses, and foot care. We are an employee-owned organisation and as a social enterprise we are in the great position of having the flexibility to tailor our services to meet the needs of our communities with any financial surplus reinvested straight back into supporting patient care. We work closely with GPs, Local Authorities, local NHS organisations and Voluntary and Community Sector partners to deliver a co-ordinated approach to care and support to our communities. We are increasingly playing an influential role within our Integrated Care System as the focus on successful delivery of care closer to home continues to increase.

Over the last three years we have been on a significant journey of improvement from CQC ‘Inadequate’ to a rating of ‘Good’ last year.  We are now focused on embedding a ‘Just’ culture of learning and improvement which will help us to deliver ‘Outstanding’ services to the populations we serve.

We are seeking a new Chief Nurse & Director of Clinical Quality and Professional Practice at this significant time for our services. Reporting into the Chief Executive, you will be a key strategic leader within the Board with accountability for a wide portfolio including the professional leadership and wellbeing of the clinical workforce, assurance of clinical standards, Infection Prevention and Control, Safeguarding and Clinical Governance.  Setting a strategy for professional practice in a growing community healthcare sector, that recruits, nurtures, develops and retains a compassionate, skilled, and flexible clinical workforce will be critical to ensuring we continue to meet and exceed the expectations of our partners, our regulators, our communities and most importantly our staff and our patients.

You will be a Registered Nurse, ideally with some community services experience and a successful track record of delivery in strategic clinical leadership roles at or close to Board level. You will also be a strong relationship builder with a track record of strong partnership working, a focus on patient and public engagement and have an excellent understanding of the delivery of high-quality clinical services. You will be excited by the prospect of working in an innovative and agile social enterprise organisation which works seamlessly between sectors, embodies a strong culture, mission and values, and has a genuine commitment to staff and the people we serve in our communities.

If the opportunity to ‘Be Caring, Be Inspirational and Be a Part of It’ sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you.
