About the role and our team

Join our team as the Head of System Coordination and Patient Flow on the Isle of Man!

As part of your role you will provide clinical and operational leadership to the Hospitals Patient Flow Team within Manx Care, the new body responsible for the delivery of health and care services on the Island.

You will responsible for the effective and efficient management of capacity and will be the key contact for clinical and operational flow issues throughout the organisation.

This role allows you to utilise your knowledge and skills to successfully lead a team who provide on-site cover 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As well as this, you’ll support staff to successfully achieve all capacity related performance and quality standards, including the implementation of the SAFER bundle across our acute sites.

You will also be responsible for providing clinical and managerial oversight to the Temporary Staffing Office, delivering a key strategic priority of developing and implementing a Clinical Rostering Service.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate highly evolved clinical, management and leadership skills and possess the operational experience necessary to resolve capacity related pressures. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, this role could be for you!

What can this role offer me?

By joining us you’ll be stepping away from NHS pressures and demands, as the Island’s healthcare system is similar but separate to the UK NHS.

You can also take advantage of the excellent opportunities we provide for personal and professional development. This includes the use of our Learning, Education and Development Centre and the fantastic range of fully funded courses we support.

Manx Care is committed to creating smoke-free spaces and is ‘proud to be smoke free’ as part of the overall Isle of Man Smoke Free 2030 ambition. As of April 1st 2021 smoking will no longer be permitted on our Manx Care sites. For support and advice on abstinence from smoking, please contact Quit4You on 642404 or Quit4You@gov.im
