Job Details
The postholder will be responsible for ensuring continuous improvements in Cancer Services. As this is a key position within the organisation’s senior management structure, candidates must have experience at Band 8c as a minimum and must have worked in a similar capacity within an NHS Acute Provider previously.
This is a full-time, on site role which will be remunerated under the NHSI Agency Caps at Band 8c.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leadership and responsibility for the implementation of the Trust’s Cancer Services Strategy;
- Take lead responsibility for ensuring continuous improvements in Cancer Services, including the delivery of Cancer waiting times and performance targets;
- Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders - locally and nationally - to further the development of local patient pathways for Cancer Services;
- Support the production of the Annual Plan;
- Efficient and effective use of resources to ensure the highest standards of patient care and excellent service delivery, ensuring developments are sustainable in the long term;
- Lead on preparation for Cancer peer review visits.
- Postgraduate degree qualification or equivalent level of experience;
- Significant experience of leading Cancer services at this level;
- Evidence of implementing service improvement;
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
