Head of Midwifery
With an overall Trust CQC rating of Outstanding and their Maternity Services rated as Good, this University Teaching Hospital has a reputation for excellence across the North West of England. This is a great opportunity to join them on a 6 month interim basis, as they are seeking a Head of Midwifery to join their clinical leadership team.
Reporting to the Director of Nursing, Midwifery and Governance, this role will be the most senior professional Midwife in the Trust and will play a key role in providing strategic direction for the Maternity Services ensuring the provision of an effective and robust Midwifery Service. The role will have overall professional leadership and management responsibility for all midwifery staff, both registered and health care support workers, and have a particular focus within the Acute and Community Services. Additionally it will involve working in partnership with the wider system including the maternity and childrens vanguard, ICS and Commissioners to support service modernisation and workingforce planning and development objectives to better meet the needs of the local population.
This is a 6 month interim post, remunerated at the top of a Band 8D on the NHS framework and we are particularly keen to speak with candidates who are able to inteview and ideally commence in June.
To be considered for this superb opportunity to lead the development of midwifery practice and services candidates must be a Registered and Qualified Midwife with recent experience of providing expert strategic and clinical leadership across Maternity services.
