Associate Director of Corporate Governance
Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust - Associate Director of Corporate Governance
Salary – AfC - Band 8d (£73,936 - £86,687)
Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is an award-winning, clinically led organisation. As a multi-site integrated Trust, we bridge the gap between hospital and community care. We serve a population of around half a million people across south west Surrey with core hospital services and adult community services. We are also a regional cancer centre and part of the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance, providing world-class services to a wider population of up to three million people.
We are recognised by our regulators as a ‘Well-led’ Trust, providing high quality services and care and with a strong track record of financial performance. We are a Trust with big ambitions and a clear strategy and vision. We are agile, forward thinking and innovative, committed to our values of caring, learning, excelling and continuously improving.
We are a collaborative organisation and we play an important role within the Surrey Heartlands Health and Care Partnership Integrated Care System. We also work in partnership with Procare, our Local GP Federation, providing a range of adult community services. In addition to this, our subsidiary companies Healthcare Partners Ltd and PharmCo provide specialist managed services both to our Trust and other healthcare organisations.
Reporting into the Chair and Chief Executive, the Associate Director of Corporate Governance will be the principal advisor to the Board on all aspects of corporate governance. The post-holder will develop and ensure robust governance structures with the Trust and its charity and subsidiary companies. In addition to this, they will also have the opportunity to operate at both Place and across the wider system, embedding new governance arrangements during a period of significant transformational change.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual, who can support our journey to become an ‘Outstanding’ Trust. You will have a strong track record in a senior corporate governance role, ideally gained within Health or the wider Public Sector. You will be comfortable operating at Board level, with strong communication and influencing skills. Although you will be able to think strategically, you will also be ‘hands on’ in your approach to the role.
If you have a desire to work for an ambitious and values led organisation, then we welcome your interest and application. We would particularly encourage applications from those from under-represented groups or with protected characteristics, as we are committed to improving diversity within our organisation.
