Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is an integrated care organisation with a budget of £430 million and over 7,000 staff. We currently provide care to 530,000 local people from across North-West Birmingham and all the towns within Sandwell from our two main hospital sites and our intermediate care hubs, and we provide primary care direct from the Trust to one in ten local residents.  Next year we open our new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital which will bring together teams providing acute and emergency care.  We are dedicated to improving the lives of local people and to the reduction of health inequalities, and the development of the new hospital will play an important role in the regeneration of the wider area.  The new hospital will also keep integration at the heart of our journey, providing an opportunity to design and shape services that are fit for the future and offer exceptional quality of care to our communities.

We are an organisation rooted in our communities, with a warm welcome and a compassionate approach to care; as the external landscape changes, we are looking for an inspiring leader who can harness our existing strengths and the potential of our new hospital.  You will have a track record of leading transformative change through an inclusive culture; an exceptional communicator with a high degree of political acumen, you will quickly forge trusted relationships and create effective partnerships locally, regionally, and nationally.  As we look to develop research and education across the organisation, you will bring energy to these areas and a focus on innovation.
