Associate Director of Performance and Informatics
Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust
AfC Band 8d

This is a great time to join Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust as we recover services and learn from the covid-19 pandemic, work with our partners to help build the new Integrated Care System (ICS) and continue our journey towards outstanding care.

Due to the retirement of the current post holder we are looking for an energetic, innovative and capable leader to join us and shape the future of the Performance and Informatics team. We need your support to focus upon what works, identify how we tailor services to the needs of the individual, provide expert business support to our clinical teams and drive how we use data to deliver insight as we aim to improve the care we give to our local citizens.

Should you be successful, you would be joining a dedicated, professional and motivated multidisciplinary team, committed to delivering high quality data and insight to our service and corporate colleagues. Working closely with our Associate Directors of Service Delivery, you would be at the centre of building new capabilities and ways of harnessing shared data to improve care within our local communities.

In addition to this and alongside overseeing all national activity reporting, you would be cultivating a strong relationship with regional colleagues at NHSE and working with our Chief Operating Officer to provide both internal and external assurance with respect to our delivery of key performance metrics. You will have a passion for improving data quality and this, alongside the need for modern and effective electronic patient record and business intelligence systems, will require joined up leadership with our Chief Information Officer, coupled with effective working relationships with key suppliers.

The team has created an enviable reputation for their work during the past 5 years, so we are looking for real talent to join an exceptional team. You’ll be able to influence the whole improvement cycle and strategic direction of the Trust, alongside the freedom to design, test and implement innovative business intelligence approaches to aid service delivery. Most of all though, through your insights, you will be able to improve the quality of care we give to patients and their families.

As part of our team you won’t be on your own either because we passionately believe in working in partnership with all our stakeholders. We play an active role in building the ICS as well as joining together with our local communities to improve services. The post holder will be central to providing insights into the wider health and care systems development, using population health management techniques to focus on what is important and measuring the progress we have made.

If you can put the care of patients front and centre of all you do, are passionate about providing wrap around corporate support to front line services, want to make a change to people’s lives and yearn to work with a dedicated group of like-minded, values based professionals, then we would look forward to your application and meeting with you in due course. We would particularly encourage applications from those with protected characteristics and from under-represented groups, as we are committed to improving diversity within our organisation.
