About us
As an ‘outstanding’ rated NHS Trust with a passion for providing excellent staff experience, we are on a mission to drive forward our digital transformation agenda to take our employee and manager practice to the next level. One of the ways in which we are doing this is through the next stage roll-out of our HR/Payroll self-service programme, within the Electronic Staff Record (ESR). ESR has been one of the largest IT implementations in the world, replacing a whopping 29 payroll systems and 38 human resource systems throughout the NHS since 2005. This continued digital improvement journey offers the chance to make a huge difference to our way of working – and that’s where your project management expertise will help us achieve this.

About the role
Having received multiple awards, including the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) ‘In-house Team Of The Year’ award in 2018 and Reward Strategy’s ‘In-house Team Of The Year’ and ‘Ready To Retire’ awards in 2019, we’re now looking for a driven, highly organised and skilled Project Manager who will play a pivotal role in leading the full roll-out of the ESR programme across all areas of the Trust.

Proactive and enthusiastic, you’ll bring energy and innovation to the project, supporting us to implement and continually improve the platform to transform our overall business processes. Managing the Workforce Systems team and working closely with HR and Payroll, you will co-ordinate, plan and evaluate the project’s performance through audits, analysing data, identifying trends and improvements, allocating budgets and producing detailed strategic reports for the Project Board.

With strong persuasion, communication and problem-solving skills, you’ll also take part in working groups to encourage and foster digital skills across our workforce. Providing training to support staff engagement and digital innovation, you’ll help motivate staff to encourage collaborative working and a proactive ‘can do’ approach to improve our practices.

In return, we offer flexible working opportunities, learning and development support, staff network groups and wellbeing provision. Most importantly, we will give you the chance to be part of a committed, caring and high-performing team of colleagues working towards our shared vision of being Better Every Day.
