An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Chief Nurse office for a Head of Nursing Workforce and Education. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day leadership of the Nursing and Midwifery Workforce and Education team.

This is a key role within the Senior Nursing Leadership Team and will support the development of a workforce that provides excellent quality care with exceptionally high safety standards and treats all patients with dignity and respect.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To be provide objective analysis of current and future Workforce and Education developments within the trust
  • To provide strategic direction for the organisation in relation to Workforce and Education
  • To act as a resource for Nursing and Midwifery innovation across the Trust
  • To directly lead and manage the Nursing Workforce and Education teams
  • Deputise for the Deputy Director of Nursing on Workforce and Education related issues, during periods of absence, including contributing to internal and external meetings
  • To work with the senior Nursing leadership team to provide professional leadership to all Nursing, Nursing Associate, Clinical Support workers and Associate Practitioner staff in the Trust
  • Act a as a professional role model to ensure that standards of care are delivered with compassion, are safe and effective and delivered to a high standard
