Job Details

Woodrow Mercer Healthcare are looking for a Senior Planning and Development Manager to work for a Trust located in North-Central England.

The postholder will report directly to the Associate Director of Planning and development. The role includes the following key responsibilities:

Key responsibilities will include:
 

  • Work closely with and support the Associate Director of Planning and Development on:
  • Developing the Annual Business and Operating Plan
  • Defining the strategic direction and maintaining the Trust Strategy
  • Establish close and constructive working relationships, internally and externally.
  • Ensure the consistency of service level business plans across the Trust

as part of the business planning strategy and within the business planning process.

  • Support and develop clear business plans aligned with the agreed strategy. Monitor delivery against the plans, providing regular progress reports to directors, members of Trust Management Group (TMG) and wider leadership team.
  • Operate as the senior planning and development business partner to support and enable plans and projects to be developed and delivered, liasing with:
  • internal stakeholders (including the operational/service delivery colleagues)
  • PMO
  • Contracting
  • Procurement
  • Workforce
  • Urgent care
  • TMG
  • Work alongside the business intelligence team and review our data to identify

potential new opportunities for business development, or new service gaps.

  • To work closely with trust directors, locality management teams, members of TMG, operational and clinical leaders and be a focal point on all tenders, bids and business plans from inception through to delivery.

 

 

The ideal candidate will have:
 

  • Prior experience of working in NHS in Planning and Development.
  • Sound understanding of healthcare and integrated care system.
  • Evidence of continuous Professional Development.
  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Leadership and ability to motivate and empower others. Positive and effective team worker.
  • Analyse, present and tailor complex data and information to a wide range of audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to prioritise work, meet tight deadline and work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, judgement and analytical skills and conflict resolution skills.

This role is on a Full-Time basis:

  • Start date - Immediately
  • Hours/Days pw – Full time
  • Rate – Band 8b
  • Any unsocial hours required? – No
  • Location – North-Central England
