This is a vital role with responsibility for the strategic leadership and management of all clinical operations; and the development of sustainable, high performing services to deliver to both the local and national standards. This position plays a key role in our plans as we seek to collaborate more broadly across our health and care economy with other health and social care providers, the ICP and CCG’s, As Chief Operating Officer you will play a central leadership role in relation to this work.

As part of our leadership team, you will champion a ’BEST’ culture within the Trust and play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of our services. By working closely with our clinical teams you will work together to take the organisation forward and develop our services for the future in line with the Trusts vision and values. This position will require an experienced leader who is outcomes focussed with outstanding business, management and organisational skills, a sound knowledge of all sectors of health and social care and a record of accomplishment in successfully leading and managing large-scale change.

This is an exciting opportunity for forward-thinking and innovative operations manager who is able to drive meaningful change across the organisation at what is a challenging time for the healthcare system. You will need to be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the acute hospital system, performance and quality standards.

Possessing exemplary communication skills you will be required to present highly complex healthcare issues clearly and communicate potentially contentious information with political astuteness to ensure balanced decisions are made. Applicants will be required to demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, commercial acumen, strong team and relationship management skills and personal professional credibility.
