Job Details
The role will be working on an interim basis for 2-3 months initially based in the North West. The role will be working on a band 8C, inside IR35 (working through an umbrella solution).
Management of Board Secretariat functions, influencing and coordinating stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Implement the highest levels of Corporate Affairs and Governance, supporting the Board and its committees;
- Provide expert advice to the Board of Directors on all issues relating to Corporate Governance;
- Deliver effective management of Corporate Governance, Admin and Legislative Compliance;
- Ensure the Trust has sound, integrated corporate governance arrangements, policies, and procedures in place;
- Ensure that all discussions and decision making that relate to the business of the Trust Board and its Committees are compliant and properly recorded in accordance with good governance;
- Ensure there is a robust system in place for the review of the Board Assurance Framework;
- Contribute to the development of systems, control process and risk management arrangements that comply with internal and external governance and best practice requirements.
- Must have prior experience within the NHS/ a healthcare setting;
- ICSA, Qualifying Law Degree or Financial Accountant qualification or working towards;
- Comprehensive understanding of the NHS, NHS Foundation Trusts and their regulation;
- Significant experience of working with and influencing stakeholders
- Knowledge of corporate governance and board management;
- The ability to remain calm under pressure.
