Job Details
An NHS organisation is currently recruiting for a Compliance Lead on an interim basis to focus on some key deliverables:
- Testing of Must and Should do actions from 2018 and 2019 inspections, currently designated ‘complete’, to ensure they are truly embedded
- Set up CQC Working group to meeting on a more regular footing with creation of an action plan and action log
- Immediate review of current service/Divisional readiness for inspection assessed against KLOEs to identify any obvious risk to compliance or vulnerability to enforcement action
- Creation of self-assessment tool for services to use to measure their own readiness and implement changes where needed
- Collation of documentation, using recent inspection as a guide to likely evidence requested in addition to the types of evidence likely to be requested of specific services; ensure compliance and evidence of same, with service-specific guidance and protocols e.g. NatSSIPS, LocSSIPs, guidelines and SOPs up to date, NICE guidance compliance, current position re national/local audits, implementation of action plans
- “Improving Care” visits – enhanced observational visits to areas to assess readiness, talk to staff to gauge temperature and gather intelligence, feeding back what staff are saying/feeling, identifying immediate actions and supporting services to troubleshoot problems e.g. Estates
