Job Details

An NHS organisation is looking to recruit and interim Head of Patient Safety to complete a temporary assignment.

You will lead the implementation and delivery of the implementation of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), incorporating the principles of both the Patient Safety Syllabus and Human Factors science.  A key focus of this assignment will be to contribute to the development and implementation of all risk and incident management policies.

As the Head of Patient Safety and Improvement you will have specific responsibility for the culture, systems and processes in place to support risk management and patient safety, to assure the Trust leadership and external stakeholders, that the services delivered by the Trust are high quality, effective, person-centred and safe.  Also, the role will be pivotal in ensuring that the learning identified genuinely leads to sustained and measurable improvements in standards of clinical safety.

This is an opportunity to influence and shape the department and make a real impact in improving the quality of care and patient experience.

Allen Lane is a specialist consultancy focusing on the NHS and supporting the sector on interim and permanent recruitment across Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, Commissioning and Project Management.

Allen Lane was established in 2004, after the founders having experienced successful careers in a large multinational consultancy. Their approach in setting up a smaller, more specialised business was to establish honest relationships through sound judgement and exceptional customer service, which still continues to this day.  Today every member of the Allen Lane team shares this approach, founded on transparency, flexibility and long term objectives, and we all view recruitment as a career and not as a job.

We are an approved supplier on the CCS non medical non clinical framework and work closely with our clients in the healthcare sector to understand their business, the challenges they face and to introduce them to the right people to help them overcome those challenges.  Over the past 17 years our influence and networks within the sector have developed considerably, but despite our growth in reputation and turnover, we continue to pride ourselves in offering the special kind of service you would expect from a niche “owner run” business.
