Within this role, you will lead and advocate for safe, high quality maternity care, leading the strategic and operational delivery of local services.

Provide senior, credible professional advice and support to the Chief Nurse and midwives across the Trust, leading and providing strategic oversight and expert advice for midwifery services, acting as a roles model for the profession both internally and externally;

Oversee managerial responsibility for the Trusts midwifery services, through line management of the Head of Midwifery;

Work in partnership with the Chief Nurse and the Chief People Officer to develop, implement and review the midwifery education strategies and ensure alignment and effective contribution to the Trusts wider strategic aims;
