We are working in partnership with an integrated physical health, mental health and learning disability community provider which works in close partnership with its system colleagues to support the local population.

An interim opportunity has arisen from the end of November to be part of the senior operational leadership team in the role of Deputy Chief Operating Officer (DCOO). This 3 to 6 month interim role will see you working closely with the other DCOO who focuses on Mental Health as you lead physical health services, along with patient flow. The post holder will have direct line management responsibility for 3 Service Directors and will work closely with the Integrated Patient Flow Clinical Lead. You will be responsible for ensuring effective day to day operational delivery, supporting system flow by working closely with partner organisations, and developing new ways of delivering services.

We're seeking an interim who has senior operational management experience within the NHS in community health services. Experience in mental health services would be helpful too but is not essential. In addition to a strong operational background and a track record of delivery you will have the ability to influence and inspire internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The trust are committed to partnership working to the ICS, so the ability to build positive relationships and enable collaboration with NHS system partners and in the broader social care system will be key.

The substantive role is band 8D, however there is some flexibility for the right interim. Whilst the Trust offer hybrid working where possible this role is on site at least 4 days per week, with the fifth remote working.
