Assistant Director of Integrated Commissioning

£80,108 - £86,266 per annum

Bath & North East Somerset is a wonderful and diverse place.  From the beautiful World Heritage City of Bath to our market towns of Keynsham, Radstock and Midsomer Norton and our rural communities that are nestled in the beautiful countryside of the Chew Valley, the foothills of the Mendips and the Cotswolds.

The Council is at the heart of tackling some of the biggest issues facing our society such as the climate and ecological emergency, responding to Covid-19 and supporting people and communities to lead healthy, prosperous and independent lives. We have a unique integrated structure across social care and health, incorporating Virgin Care, that enables us to provide a holistic whole system approach to supporting people and delivering better outcomes.

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Integrated Commissioning who will be at the heart of working across the social care and health system, building strong local partnerships and maximising our collective potential through integration. Our partnerships have been strengthened through the pandemic and we need someone with a strong focus on cohesion and teamwork to maximise what can be achieved when we work together. You will have a strong values base, with experience in health or care gained in the public or third sector. Whilst the role is responsible for the commissioning of services, we work closely with providers and therefore a strong operational understanding will be critical. You will be confident at leading change and have a track record of developing teams and partnerships. Most of all, you will be committed to improving outcomes, promoting independence and developing a sustainable system.

This post is one which has been designated as having accountability for both Council and BaNES, Swindon & Wiltshire CCG functions, in accordance with section 113 of the Local Government Act 1972, for the purposes of commissioning specified services.

Further details about the role are available on our recruitment microsite: www.bathnes-appointments.com or  by contacting our advising consultants GatenbySanderson – Seb Lowe on 07464 543 442 or Philip Emms on 07590 225 472.
