An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint a Senior Head of Corporate Governance on a fixed term basis. The post will be working in London with some flexibility for remote working. Dependent on experience the post will be working on band 8c or above inside IR35 (through an umbrella solution). The post holder will be responsible for advising on all matters relating to corporate governance, ensuring overall compliance and processes are embedded within the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • To be the first point of contact to develop, advise and support junior members of the Division, ensuring high standards are maintained;
  • Ensure the organisations overarching Governance Framework, including Standing Orders are up to date and used as an effective tool by the whole organisation, reflecting best practice nationally and is in line with all legislation, and regulations;
  • Ensure that the organisation’s Governance Framework is regularly evaluated to reflect best practice and performance;
  • Ensure Board meetings and Sub Committees are prepared with agenda plans, follow ups are recorded and produced to a high standard and in a timely manner;
  • Manage the team delivery within corporate and information governance.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Must have experience within the NHS/Healthcare setting;
  • Experience within a Senior Management Corporate role, providing good governance;
  • Experience of managing and motivating staff to achieve maximum output;
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining relationships with key people, developing alliances and partnerships;
  • Resilient and able to perform effectively in a pressurised environment.
