Practicus are partnering with an NHS organisation who are urgently seeking Interim Band 8c Designated Nurse for Safeguarding Children

The interim will act as a point of expertise for all issues relating to the care of vulnerable children.. Take the strategic and clinical lead in conjunction with the Designated Doctor on all aspects of the health service contribution to the safeguarding of vulnerable children and the promotion of their welfare.

This will involve working closely with the CCGs, NHSE/ I, CSU, all provider organisations, the Local Safeguarding Partnerships (previously Local Safeguarding Children's Boards), the Local Authority and other relevant statutory and voluntary sector organisations.


  • Evidence of expertise in safeguarding children practice with reference to children in need and children in need of protection
  • Proven experience of working with looked after children in a clinical setting
  • Experience as a named / designated nurse for Safeguarding Children
  • Experience of facilitating change by collaborating with stakeholders within children's services, across other professions and both intra- and inter- organisationally to produce innovative practice and service development to improve outcomes for children

RATE: Band 8c - £437.85 per day - Inside IR35

START: November


DURATION: 3-6 months

Predominately remote - possible 1 day on-site
