I am delighted you are taking an interest in our Chief Operating Officer position.

This is an exciting time to join us at Team WCHC and lead our operational teams.

We are a strong system partner, providing quality care through high performing services as we further integrate health and social care into our processes, systems and delivery models. We are working together with our services to reshape our organisational design, enabling us to continue to improve relationships with our Primary Care Networks and better meet the needs of our populations.

It is vital that we have the right leadership capability to deliver our strategic objectives, performance plans and contractual obligations as we work to align and support national and regional plans during 2021/22 and onwards.

This role has a wealth of opportunities to truly integrate services both internally and externally with a range of system partners, supporting admission avoidance and rapid and safe discharges to aid system flow and enhance the experience of people who require care.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong leadership qualities and a passion to help shape and change the way that we deliver health and care in Wirral. You will be a champion for population health across all our localities and have a strong value base that puts people at the heart of what we do.

To ensure our future success, we require a Chief Operating Officer who is a compassionate leader and who is committed to providing high quality health and social care.

As our Chief Operating Officer, you will open to harnessing the talent and commitment of our clinical and operational teams to enable us to explore how care can be delivered differently, across traditional boundaries.

An all-rounder with the intellectual capacity, creativity, ideas and innovation to influence across a wide range of different domains, you will contribute and participate in the development of the Trust Board and to the overall leadership of the Trust.

You will uphold, safeguard and promote the Trust’s values, actively supporting the wellbeing of colleagues and advocate and embed a climate of safety to speak up.

Interview date: 7th December 2021.
