Managing Director - Lincolnshire Health & Care Collaborative

Salary - Negotiable Six Figure Salary

LHCC is the system-wide collaborative of provider organisations delivering joined up health and care for Lincolnshire.  We are composed of 3 NHS Trusts, the Lincolnshire Primary Care Network Alliance, Lincolnshire County Council, the Lincolnshire Care Association and the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector via the Lincolnshire Voluntary Engagement Team.

We have successfully worked together in collaboration for a number of years, developing a number of integrated care models including Urgent and Emergency Care, Palliative and End of Life and integrated neighbourhood working. We officially became an Integrated Care System in April 2021.  The “Better Lives Lincolnshire” Alliance is the latest step in the evolution of Lincolnshire’s integrated working as we continue to deliver better health and wellbeing and better care for our population, and sustainable use of resources.  The provider partners of the Better Lives Lincolnshire Alliance are united as never before through the LHCC – an alliance of health and care providers that is leading a programme of transformation and developing Provider Collaborative models.

We are now seeking to appoint a highly skilled Managing Director to co-ordinate and further drive the development of integrated care and transformation within Lincolnshire.  This job is about facilitating the conversations and actions at provider level to achieve our ambitions.

The role will have responsibility for driving an ambitious programme of transformation aimed at helping Lincolnshire Health and Care Collaborative (LHCC) implement high quality, affordable integrated care for our residents. The role will account to the LHCC and Better Lives Lincolnshire ICS for the performance of the Collaborative against the relevant national and local targets.

The role will be required to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and partners including Provider Executive Directors and Clinical Leads, the ICS including the Integrated Care Board, commissioners, and patients and public representatives.

The postholder will work with and lead all partner organisations to deliver truly integrated care and improved quality, experience and outcomes to the local population as part of our Lincolnshire Health and Care Collaborative.

To be clear, the post holder will be an equal peer with the Executive Directors of sovereign provider organisations but will not be a Board member of any of the sovereign provider organisations.

Working with stakeholders in primary care, community, mental health, acute care, VCSE sector and local authority, the role will require driving change to deliver the next stage in the development of our collaborative including delivering system financial sustainability and resilience in the long term, delivering great outcomes within a defined financial envelope. 

As provider partners we are building on solid relationships to create and deliver our vision for how health and care can be delivered in ways that truly integrate health and care where it makes sense to do so.

Our shared vision as Lincolnshire providers, therefore, is to work together to provide our population with the best possible health and social care, in the right place, at the right time, making the best use of the Lincolnshire pound.  To do this we are creating a clean slate, free of old stories, to be innovative and forward thinking and to be able to forgive each other when we get things wrong and celebrate when things go well.

Our roadmap sets out five steps to success:

  1. Signing up to shared purpose, values and behaviours;
  2. Identifying existing collaboration and building on it;
  3. Sharing expertise and capabilities and working on our relationships;
  4. Designing new collaborative pathways together, that benefit the population;
  5. Starting a conversation with the population about what we are trying to do.
