An exciting opportunity has arisen, supporting a large NHS organisation as a Corporate Governance & Assurance Manager.

The post will be working in Yorkshire and Humber, initially for a period of 3-6 months. This is a Band 8a post, working inside IR35.

The post holder will provide relevant advice and support on a range of governance, assurance, quality and legal related matters.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To assist with Servicing Board/Committee Meetings as and when required;
  • Support with the Board Assurance Framework (BAF) and Annual Reporting requirements;
  • Prepare agendas and papers, ensuring all statutory and legislative requirements and actions for the organisation are implemented in a timely manner;
  • Support the Council of Governors to fulfil their obligations, and provide relevant guidance;
  • Co-ordinate the arrangements and record subsequent actions arising from external agency visits, inspections, accreditations, etc;
  • Facilitate all Members (public & staff) elections, appointments, and meetings;
  • Responsible for various governance & assurance related policy/processes and their implementation, such as Standards of Business Conduct, Declarations of Interest and Conflicts of interest, and Board recruitment.
A successful candidate will have:
  • Previous experience working within the NHS is essential for this role;
  • Proven experience of working with Executive and Board level Directors;
  • Significant team & line management experience within a corporate setting.
