Interim Head of Service for Continuing Healthcare

Woodrow Mercer Healthcare have been given the go-ahead to source a Band 8c Head of CHC Service for a key CCG client in the south of England on a remote basis.

The postholder would be responsible for the overall management and "hands-on" day to day running of the CHC services operations and delivery.

This role will involve the postholder taking an in-depth approach to the CCG's qualitative procedures and staff management for the entire service, ensuring that quality is consistent across all teams in the service against set benchmarks.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a similar role within continuing healthcare to a minimum Band 8c level, and be confident and have experience of being responsible for the operational delivery of an entire service. Previous team management experience is essential aswell as being responsible for the budgeting, management and successful completion of trajectories set by the CCG at board level as outlined by NHSE.

It is also desirable for the postholder to hold a Clinical Qualification, however this is not essential

This role has been deemed as Inside IRS5, is completely remote and an initial contract length of 6 - 12 months.
