Job Details

A large NHS organisation in the North West has a new opportunity for an Interim Head of Pay and Reward to provide expertise, key leadership and support.

Main responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development and delivery of the organisation's pay and reward strategy ensuring that an efficient and effective service is available to line managers and all other employees;
  • Create an environment of customer-focused service delivery, continuous improvement and innovation by demonstrating and promoting in line with the organisation's values and behaviours;
  • Provide strategic specialist advice and guidance to senior managers regarding pay and reward legislation and best practice;
  • Ensure the provision of a high quality, efficient pay and reward offering to all internal stakeholders;
  • Monitor, manage and measure the impact of all service development activities providing benefits realisation reports to demonstrate return on investment;
  • Develop and implement a communication and marketing strategy for the pay and reward service;
  • Lead and manage the pay and reward function by ensuring that all employees have objectives, personal development plans including professional and career development and a formal annual appraisal;
  • Ensure that all employees in the pay and reward function are managed in accordance with HR strategy, modelling outstanding and innovative people management.
Key Skills/Experience:
  • CIPP Certificate or equivalent experience;
  • Highly developed specialist knowledge of pay, pensions and reward, with relevant work experience;
  • Leadership and management of teams;
  • Ability to analyse complex and novel situations and to make sound decisions under pressure.
