KINDNESS.  FAIRNESS.  INGENUITY.  DETERMINATION

We are proud to provide mental health and learning disability services to 1.3m people across Greater Manchester (GM) and our four values drive everything we do. Our 4,000 staff have big ambitions for our organisation, and we have made significant progress in delivering our strategy focused on developing high quality care and a supportive culture. At the forefront of our approach is our desire to tackle all forms of discrimination. Our vision is for a happier and more hopeful life for everyone in our communities and our purpose is to maximise people's potential to live more rewarding lives and to create a great place to work. Covid-19 has fundamentally changed the way we deliver services and has accelerated our collaborative work with partners across the Greater Manchester health and care system.  We know the pandemic has had a significant impact on the mental wellbeing of our populations and the need for our services is increasing.  We are committed to ‘building back better’ as we find innovative ways to adapt to our changing world.

Our outstanding Chief Executive Claire Molloy will retire next spring creating an exceptional opportunity to join us and lead us through the next chapter of our development.  We are focused on embedding our work at the heart of the communities in the five GM boroughs that we serve, and committed to collaboration with partners including Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS FT.  We continue to learn from one another as we seek to improve the provision of mental health and learning disabilities services across the GM region.  This includes our crucial role as the lead provider for CAMHS within our GM collaborative.

We are seeking an experienced or aspiring Chief Executive with a track record of transforming health and/or care services through coproduction to be an outstanding leader.  You will be a collaborative, system leader and share our passion for delivering high quality care and exceptional experience for our service users, carers, and our staff. You will be passionate about improving the quality of life and outcomes for people with mental ill health / and or learning disabilities.  Bringing your own diverse and fresh perspective, you will lead a talented and refreshed Executive team.  Building and maintaining our culture of compassionate and inclusive leadership is critical; you will be aligned to our values; engaging and empowering our staff, service users, partners, and communities as we work with them to reduce inequalities through effective integration and partnership in the delivery of health and care services.
