Utilise your experience in Operating Theatre Utilisation and Change Management to make sure this Acute Trust delivers its critical Elective Recovery programme.
To the Chief Operating Officers delight the Trust's Elective Recovery is on the regional leader-board when it comes to turnaround. The size of their Theatres estate and team is substantial so effectively utilising their Theatre resources is a vital piece of the puzzle to truly get their electives back on track. This Theatre Utilisation Change Manager role will embed theatre utilisation by building effectiveness and consistency across all their Theatre's specialities.
This challenge is significant. With an operating budget of £55M and over 30 Theatres accessed by a full range of electives the amount of data their operational, booking and clinical teams are working with is extensive. Throw in the complexities of multiple sites and an ongoing Operating Theatre refurbishment programme as part of their 3 year strategy and you get some idea of the challenges their Elective Recovery programme has already overcome. Getting clarity about how they consistently and efficiently utilise their Theatres will be both the cherry on top of the elective recovery cake and make a huge impact on the local community.
This role is both interesting and challenging because there's little consistency across the booking processes for each division currently. However they are a well run team who enjoy a positive culture which is being further enhanced by the newly appointed Theatre Improvement Matron, with whom this role will work closely. This role will also work with the operational, clinical, and booking teams as you need to look at what's going on as you engage and start the conversation about what good, effective and efficient Theatre Utilisation looks like. It's hoped that your outputs will create the benchmark which will provide agreed consistency.
Skills and experience needed:
* Experience of Theatres efficiency and transformation
* Verifiable experience within a large elective division, ideally across operating Theatres and Anaesthetics
* Highly engaging with strong listening skills
Details about the role:
* Hourly rate : Uncapped 8c £45.85 per hour plus VAT / OUTSIDE IR35
* Duration : Until the end of March
* Process : Shortlisting over the next 48 hrs.
We've been supporting the NHS with provision of senior interims since 2004. We care about what we do as much as you care about what you do.
