Deputy Director of Infection Prevention Control - Working System wide

A London NHS organisation are looking for a Deputy Director of IPC to help them on their journey to providing the best possible care to their patients.


The purpose of this role is to scope and write the IPC strategy across a variety of healthcare settings, looking at a system wide approach to IPC, moving them from a reactive model to a proactive model.
You will have an opportunity to make a difference by working as a highly specialised member of the team, you will be instrumental in the design of the IPC structure going forward and how it will link between NHSE/I , primary care, the community, NHS acute hospital providers and independent health sector. The is an opportunity here to make a huge impact on how IPC works system wide which will result in better outcomes for their patients across all settings.

This role is both interesting and challenging as there's a wide portfolio of settings within your remit. This role is highly important because it has the potential to provide better care across all age groups.

To deliver this, we are looking for an interim who has worked in a Senior IPC Leadership role, who is credible and able to engage at all levels across the wider health system, with the ability to write an IPC strategy that will deliver a proactive system wide approach to Infection prevention control.

Experience
* Senior IPC Leadership experience
* Clinical Experience, passion, and expertise in IPC
* Personality and ability to engage both clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels
* Working in multiple healthcare settings would be desirable
* A strategic thinker, able to design a proactive IPC solution

RATE: £58.38 per hour
LENGTH: 6 months initially
START: December 2021
