Woodrow Mercer Healthcare are looking for a Microsoft SQL Server Data Analyst to support a South East England Trust.

The postholder will be responsible maintaining, enhancing and developing new scripts on Microsoft SQL Servers whose releases range from 2008 to 2019. Focus will be on repeatability of reporting and automation therein, especially on the Divisional and Trust version of Integrated Performance Report.

Key responsibilities will include:
 

• Mining, analysis and modelling of complex data sets.
• Apply analytical techniques to generate insights from data and provide relevant and timely information.
• The development, design and maintenance of health-related datasets and complex information and analysis.
• Provide advice and support/guidance on specialist analysis.
• Work with end users to ensure that information is accurate and relevant and meets the business needs of the organisation.
• To work closely with operational colleagues in supporting business needs.
• To play a hands-on role in production of business intelligence information as required, ensuring that all requests for information are met.
• Maintain and produce documentation for any processes for which the post holder has developed or is routinely responsible for.
• Benchmarking and performance monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have:
 

• Degree qualification or equivalent level of experience in a numerical subject, such as Maths, Physics, Economics, Operational Research, Statistics.
• Knowledge of a range of statistical/numerical techniques and procedures.
• Advanced user of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritise work, meet tight deadline and work independently.
• Experience of NHS IT Systems.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Experience of working in a large NHS organisation.
• Experience of working in a data science role.

This role is on a contract basis:

• Location:       South East England
• Length:          3 Months (initally)
• Rate:              Competitive
• Hours/Days pw – Full time
