Finance Director

Healthcare Partners (Ltd) – A subsidiary of the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust

Equivalent AfC Band 8D

This is an exciting role to lead the finance function and be a Board member of a managed healthcare services organisation. Healthcare Partners Ltd (HPL), came into being in 2018 and provides full managed services, support and facilities services to the Trust and other external customers. The aim is to transform operational services, delivering quality and financial benefits in procurement, contracts, medical equipment and technical services. HPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Royal Surrey and is a new business model which we want to develop as a leading service provider in its field. HPL already supports the ICS where there is further opportunity for growth.

The role is responsible for the delivery of all financial aspects of the limited company including policies, processes and procedures. It will also take the lead on financial performance and budgeting, business planning, customer facing financial metrics and reports, staff performance, and financial governance.

You will be required to build strong working relationships with business partners, service users and the finance team within the RSFT, as well as commissioners, external customers and a wide range of other external bodies to ensure delivery of customer requirements. You will develop innovative solutions and ensure effective communication in a complex political and stakeholder environment. You will also be required to evaluate, create and exploit opportunities within an evolving and challenging market locally, regionally and nationally, in the private and public sectors, to grow a successful and sustainable interventional and support facilities management business.

Educated to at least degree level, you will have senior management and financial experience and qualifications. Strong leadership and commercial acumen are essential, as are customer service and transformation skills. You will need to possess highly developed communication and influencing skills and demonstrate collaborative relationship building and stakeholder management to work both within the Royal Surrey and external environment.
